What is The Chocolate World?
The Chocolate World is a curated chocolate online based in Richmond, BC, bringing together premium chocolates from around the world. We carefully select brands and collections so you can “Taste the world in every bite” through our gift boxes, hampers, and specialty bars.
Do you have a physical store?
We are currently an online boutique and offer local delivery and shipping. Our first physical retail store is planned for next year in Richmond, BC. Updates will be shared on our website and social media.

Where do you ship?
We currently ship within British Columbia, Canada. Some remote areas may have longer delivery times or additional shipping charges. If you’re unsure, contact us and we’ll confirm before you order.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your delivery address and order size.
We currently offer:
- Free local delivery within Richmond on orders over CA$75.
- A standard delivery fee of CA$6 (Richmond) for smaller local orders.
- Courier shipping (e.g. British Columbia-wide) calculated at checkout.

Do you offer local delivery or pickup?
Yes, we offer local delivery in Richmond. Free delivery is available on orders over CA$75.

How do you pack chocolates, especially in warm weather?
We take temperature-sensitive products seriously. Orders are packed securely to protect the chocolates from damage during transit. During warmer months, we may use insulated packaging and/or ice packs for certain orders or recommend faster shipping options at checkout to reduce transit time.

Where do your chocolates come from?
We work with selected premium brands and artisans from Canada and around the world, including regions such as Switzerland, France, Italy, the USA, Japan, and the Middle East. Our goal is to bring you a “world tour” of chocolates in one place.
Are your chocolates nut-free, gluten-free, or vegan?
Some of our chocolates may be nut-free, gluten-free, or vegan, but not all. Each product listing includes ingredient and allergen information provided by the manufacturer.
If you have allergies or dietary restrictions, please read the product details carefully and contact us before ordering so we can help guide you.
Do you offer sugar-free or alcohol-free chocolates?
Some of our chocolates may be sugar-free and all are alcohol-free options. You’ll be able to filter or search for these on our website.
If you’re unsure about a specific product, send us the product name and we’ll confirm the details for you.
What is the shelf life of your chocolates?
Shelf life varies by brand and product. In general, most chocolates have a best-before date printed on the packaging by the manufacturer.
We only sell products that are within their best-before periods and recommend consuming them before that date for best taste and texture.
How should I store the chocolates?
For best results, store chocolates in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and strong odours.
- Ideal temperature: 15–20°C
- Avoid storing chocolates in the fridge unless necessary, as sudden temperature changes can cause “bloom” (a white film on the surface).
If your home is very warm, you may store them briefly in an airtight container in the fridge and allow them to come back to room temperature before serving.
Gifting & Custom Orders
Can I add a personalized message to my order?
Yes. You can add a personalized gift message at checkout. We will print or handwrite it on a small card and include it inside the box.
Do you offer gift boxes and hampers?
Yes, gift boxes and hampers are at the heart of what we do. We offer:

Returns, Refunds & Order Issues
What is your return or refund policy?
Because chocolates are a food product, we generally cannot accept returns for change of mind.
However, if there is an issue with your order (wrong items received, damaged, or spoiled on arrival), please contact us within [24–48 hours] of delivery with your order number and photos, and we will review the situation. Where appropriate, we may offer a replacement, store credit, or refund.
What if my chocolates arrive damaged or melted?
We do our best to package all orders securely and to reduce heat exposure, especially in warmer months.
